Description

Introduction to Cireta Tablet

Cireta Tablet contains active ingredients Calcium citrate and Vitamin D3. It is primarily used to treat and prevent conditions such as osteoporosis (weak and porous bones with an increased risk of fractures), osteomalacia (softening of bones), rickets (a bone disease in children), and hypoparathyroidism (underactive parathyroid glands). This medication is also used in the treatment of secondary hyperparathyroidism (overactive parathyroid glands due to low calcium or high phosphate levels in the blood) and pseudohypoparathyroidism (a condition where the body is resistant to parathyroid hormone). Additionally, Cireta Tablet can help prevent bone loss in older adults and support bone health in pregnant and breastfeeding women. It is also recommended for supplementing vitamin D and calcium in individuals at risk of deficiency, such as those with inflammatory bowel disease or limited sun exposure.
However, individuals who are allergic to Cireta Tablet or any of its components should avoid this medication. It is also not recommended for people with hypercalcemia (high calcium levels in the blood), hypervitaminosis D (excess vitamin D in the body), hypercalciuria (high calcium levels in the urine), or kidney stones. While generally safe for older adults and children, it is crucial to consult a doctor before use, as these groups may be at an increased risk of developing hypercalcemia.

Uses of Cireta Tablet

Therapeutic Effects of Cireta Tablet

Inform your doctor about all other medications you are currently taking, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements. If you have any medical conditions like kidney disease, heart disease, or hyperparathyroidism, consult your doctor before using this medication, as it may not be safe for certain conditions. If you have a history of kidney stones, it’s especially important to discuss this with your doctor before starting Cireta Tablet. Additionally, if you are on other medications, ask your doctor whether it is safe to take them alongside Cireta. Should you experience any side effects, notify your doctor immediately.
